Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
Transitional Kindergarten builds a strong foundation for kindergarten by inspiring educational and social success. Our goal is to make children feel confident and excited about school, self, and learning. Age-appropriate, theme-based curriculum consists of both shared (group) and independent learning experiences. TK curriculum is research based and focuses on learning through play. The TK classroom is arranged in play-based learning centers that encourage and inspire progress and growth. TK curriculum is rich in literacy and phonetic awareness, math skills, science and discovery, creativity through art and music, fine and gross motor activities, and social/emotional instruction. In addition, TK implemented the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to teach writing skills and letter recognition (this program also implemented in Austin ISD and Eanes ISD).
TK is a wonderful stepping stone to help children not only ready themselves for, but succeed in the world outside of Pre-school.
